Deputy Chief Minister Bhatti Vikramarka stated that the decision to allocate Rs 11,000 crore to 55 Young India Integrated Residential Schools in a single day marks a significant milestone in the nation’s history.
While addressing the media at the Ministerial Quarters on Sunday, Bhatti Vikramarka, accompanied by Ministers Komatireddy Venkat Reddy and Ponguleti Srinivas Reddy, announced that the State government has issued orders for funding these 55 schools. The Deputy Chief Minister emphasized that the Young India Integrated Residential Schools are being established to offer education of international standards to underprivileged, marginalised and middle-class children in Telangana.
"There should be no private educational institutions in the country like the integrated residential schools being built by the government. In addition to setting up a magnificent sports complex in the integrated residential school, which will be set up on an area of approximately 20 to 25 acres, a housing complex will also be constructed to provide accommodation for the teachers who will teach there," Bhatti Vikramarka said.
The Deputy Chief Minister said the Integrated residential schools have been designed to provide digital education to students with all the facilities and technologically up to international standards. He said that these residential schools, designed to have the necessary labs, libraries, and mini-theaters for students, will be useful for families from poor, marginalised, and vulnerable groups, and for those who cannot afford to pay lakhs of rupees in fees at private educational institutions.
On the occasion, Bhatti Vikramarka expressed gratitude to Chief Minister Revanth Reddy, who also holds the portfolio of Education department for issuing orders allocating funds for the construction of 55 integrated residential schools at a single time. MPs R Raghuram Reddy, Balaram Nayak, Khamma district MLAs Matta Ragamayi, Koram Kanakaiah, Malothu Ramdas Nayak, Payam Venkateswarlu, Tellam Venkat Rao, J Adinarayana and others were also present.
