Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N. Chandrababu Naidu has called on National Democratic Alliance (NDA) leaders in the state to ensure the success of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit on May 2, urging them to give him a warm reception and to ensure the event goes smoothly.

In a teleconference with NDA leaders, Naidu emphasized that Amaravati is a symbol of pride and self-respect for all Telugu people. He underscored the importance of ensuring that attendees at the Prime Minister’s public meeting are not inconvenienced.

“Just as a family dreams of owning a decent home, the state deserves a capital that its people can proudly call their own. The NDA’s commitment to decentralizing development is reflected in the establishment of central educational institutions in North Andhra, Coastal Andhra, and Rayalaseema regions since 2014. We are committed to equally developing all parts of the state,” Naidu said.

The Chief Minister highlighted that other states like Telangana, Karnataka, and Tamil Nadu derive substantial revenue from their capitals—Hyderabad, Bengaluru, and Chennai, respectively. He believes that a well-developed capital city will provide similar economic benefits to Andhra Pradesh, making Amaravati integral to the state's future prosperity.

Naidu also noted that farmers have generously donated land for the capital's construction, and in return, they will receive residential and commercial plots once the area is fully developed. “We are making farmers partners in this endeavor,” he said.

He expressed confidence that setting up industries will create significant employment opportunities for the state’s youth. Additionally, improved infrastructure, including roads, will not only enhance transportation but also bolster the state’s economic system. Naidu cautioned that rival groups, driven by ulterior motives, may attempt to undermine the development efforts but stressed that the government would continue to move forward regardless.

The Chief Minister urged NDA leaders to engage with the public, explaining the developmental initiatives underway. He also directed ministers and MLAs to take responsibility for disseminating information on the government's progress, emphasizing that the state would overcome all obstacles to achieve both welfare and development goals.
